Representatives from Kilkenny and Carlow County Council along with state bodies attended a celebration of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States and Ireland last night.
The event of American Irish State Legislators Caucus took place in the historic round room of the Mansion House in Dublin.

Carlow Fine Gael Cllr Fergal Browne was in attendance as was Kilkenny Fianna Fáil Cllr Peter Chap Cleere who told KCLR news it’s was a wonderful event and a true celebration of the connections between the two countries.
He added that the aim of it is to foster and strengthen the longstanding relationship between Ireland and the United Sates of America.
