Local TD won't confirm rumours of role in banking inquiry

Local TD John Paul Phelan has declined to comment on speculation that he will form part of the new banking inquiry.

According to several newspapers the Carlow/Kilkenny deputy will be part of the the banking inquiry committee which will be chaired by Labour’s Ciaran Lynch

However when contacted by KCLR today the TD wished to wait until an official announcement is made by Government until commenting on the make up of the inquiry
