Locals urged to give blood at the Talbot Hotel in Carlow today due to critically low supplies

Blood supplies are critically low after the Easter break.

As a result, a special blood clinic has been set up today in the Talbot Hotel in Carlow until 3:30pm

Locals are being asked to attend the clinic to help the Irish Blood Transfusion Service build back up the supply of donated blood.

The process takes up to one hour with registered nurses carrying out the procedure.
