A Carlow shop was at the centre of a bit of lotto controversy this week!
On Wednesday night, a problem was discovered in Oak View Stores on the Athy Road when one customer’s four quick-pick tickets were exactly the same despite having unique identifier codes.
Premier Lotteries Ireland has admitted that a fault occurred with the machine’s printer sensor which resulted in numbers, supposed to be selected at random, coming out identical.
The company says the terminal in the Carlow store is being replaced.
