A book of evidence is being prepared in the case of a Kilkenny man accused of attempted murder at the Market Cross in July.
In Kilkenny District Court yesterday 39-year-old Ger Dowling of The Sycamores, Freshford Road, Kilkenny, was charged with attempted murder and producing an article capable of inflicting serious injury.
On the 13th of July, a man in his 50s was stabbed a number of times just inside the entrance to the Market Cross Shopping Centre in the middle of the day.
Gardaí say a book of evidence is now being prepared and it’s expected that he’ll go forward for trial.
He’s been remanded in custody until the 10th of October.
