The victim of Wednesday’s stabbing attack in Kilkenny remains in hospital this morning.
The 59-year-old was walking his dog in the Market Cross Shopping Centre when he was attacked by a man and sustained knife-wounds to his head and arms.

A man in his 30s was arrested and then charged last night by Kilkenny Gardaí.
He’s currently appearing before a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court this morning.
