A man accused of the murder of Irish pensioner John Mackey in London has been found guilty.
Mr Mackey who was originally from Callan had lived in London for most of his life.
Peter Augustine, 59, had denied the charges against him and was not present in court today.
The 12-person jury found him guilty of murder and robbery by a unanimous verdict.
Mr Mackeys family burst into tears upon hearing the verdict in the Old Bailey in London.
Mr Augustine will be sentenced on 28th November.
