Man remains in induced coma after serious assault in Tullow on Sunday

A man remains in an induced coma at St Lukes hospital after a serious assault in Tullow at the weekend.

The 31-year-old has been in intensive care since he was found unconscious on the floor of an apartment on Mill Street in the town on Sunday night.

It’s thought he could have been there for up to 19 hours before being discovered by his mother at around 10pm on Sunday.

Gardai have been tracing his movements in the hours before the assault and are trying to piece together information to find out what happened.

Sgt Peter McConnon says they are anxious to hear from anyone who knows what happened.
