A man has been stabbed and badly beaten in an aggravated burglary in Carlow town.
It happened at the Riverdell Apartment block in Haymarket in the town at around 1.30 yesterday afternoon.
The man in his early 20’s was taken to St Lukes hospital with serious injuries where he remains today
Garda Superintendent in Carlow Gerry Redmond has this appeal:
“The man has a number of stab wounds and serious limb injuries from the beating. We believe there could have been up to three suspects involved and the incident occurred sometime between 1.30pm and 1.40pm yesterday.
The appeal is for anybody who may have been in that area between 1pm and 3pm yesterday – that’s in the Haymarket area in Carlow – to contact us here in Carlow Garda Station or on the confidential Garda line.”
