A man struck by a lorry in Carlow town at the weekend has died in hospital of his injuries.
The incident happened near the Strawhall Industrial Estate on Sunday afternoon.
The man, a pedestrian was taken to hospital in Kilkenny and subsequently onto Beaumont in Dublin before returning to St Luke’s Hospital where he has since passed away.
Garda Caroline O’Malley says they are appealing for any witnesses to the tragedy to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 9136620.
