Management at Keenan’s of Borris have been invited to the Labour Court this morning.
The farming company, which was last year purchased by multi-national business Alltech, have confirmed to KCLR News that it’s in relation to the recognition of trade union SIPTU.
Earlier this year, KCLR was contacted by a Keenan’s staff member who said that the company was refusing to recognise the union.
In a statement, Alltech says that management encourage any employee with concerns to contact them.
They say they operate an “open-door policy”, and at the moment there are no outstanding disputes with any member of their team.
