Car sales in Carlow and Kilkenny were down quite a bit in March compared to 2016.
Figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show national sales were down by more than 1,600 for the month.
In Kilkenny, sales went from 1,714 in 2016 to 1,490 last month.
In Carlow, they dropped from 1,076 to 952.
The SIMI says its partly because more cars are being imported now as a result of weaker Sterling due to Brexit.
The five top selling cars to date are Toyota, followed by Ford, Volkswagon, Hyundai and Nissan.
