The Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht has described Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon as an inspiration.
The animation company recently received their second Oscar-nomination, this time for their film ‘Song of the Sea’.

Minister Heather Humphries visited on Friday afternoon where she met with the animators and others involved in the production.
Speaking to KCLR News, she said their great success will no doubt encourage budding animators nationwide.
