A report due before Government Ministers next week is expected to say that a Technological university for the South East is still a viable proposition.
Former Chairman of the Higher Education Authority Michael Kelly was appointed by the Education Minister late last year to examine the proposal after talks broke down between IT Carlow and Waterford Insitute of Technology.

His findings are now with the Minister and are due to be discussed at Cabinet on Tuesday.
