More than 30 St Patrick’s Centre residents in Kilkenny have now moved into local communities

31 people have now moved out of St Patrick’s Centre in Kilkenny into the community
As part of a ‘decongregation process’ at the Kells Road facility, those residents are now living in the areas of Knocktopher, Danesfort, Kells, Ballyfoyle, Jenkinstown, Kilkenny City, the Callan Road area with some in Bagenalstown in Co Carlow.
One person has moved this year and there are plans for six others to move to Loughboy and the Callan Road next month.
St Patrick’s Centre is governed by a board of management who have recently approved a new logo for the facility.
In a statement to KCLR they say there’s no plan at this time to change the name of St Patrick’s Centre.
