Motorists being advised of oil spill between Ballon and Clonegal

Motorists are being advised to exercise caution on the L2021 between Ballon and Clonegal, after a major oil spill occurred on the road this morning.

The spill occurred specifically on the roadway going via Bang-Up Cross, Ardattin village, Monaughrim, and Clonogan.

A clean-up team has been dispatched to the site, however due to the nature of the spill cleaning efforts are likely to take a number of hours.
