Mullins horse “Rubi Ball” ruled out of Hennessy Gold Cup in Leopardstown

The Willie Mullins 9-year-old Rubi Ball has been ruled out on Sunday’s Hennessy Gold Cup in Leopardstown having suffered a setback after a schooling session in Punchestown on Sunday.

The French import who ran a highly creditable race to finish 3rd in the Lexus Chase at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting was found to be lame after his schooling session, and connections have decided not to take his chance in Sunday’s Leopardstown feature.
