A Local TD has welcomed the announcement of the government’s new Autism Innovation Strategy, which was launched yesterday by Minister of State for Disability, Anne Rabbitte.
Speaking to KCLR News, Deputy Jennifer Murnane O’Connor praised the Strategy, which contains 80 key points for action, and will be implemented over a period of 18 months.
The Strategy was developed in collaboration with autistic people, parents, professionals and organisations supporting autistic people.
Present waiting times for Autism assessments have been described by opposition leaders as “scandalous” and “unacceptable”
