The new Bishop of Ossory has used his ordination speech in Kilkenny to express his pro-life stance.
Bishop Dermot Farrell was ordained in St Mary’s Cathedral yesterday afternoon in front of a huge congregation of people.
In his speech he said “there is no such thing as a human life that has no value” and said he’s very aware “of the need to protect the life of every child in the womb.”
Speaking to KCLR ahead of his ordination, Bishop Farrell says it’s a stance he won’t apologise for.
