A push is being made to help develop and support farmers markets in Carlow and Kilkenny.
New funding is being made available for rural towns and villages with populations no more than 10 thousand to get the food and artisans going.

The CEDRA grants are between 5 and 10 thousand euro and Minister Ann Phelan says the markets are getting more popular.
