Night time water restrictions have been lifted for Castlecomer.
The measure was in place since the 14th of August in the town and surrounding areas due to low raw water levels in the reservoir and to ensure a daytime supply.
Its team however will continue to monitor water levels and ensure that customers are updated should further restrictions be required.
Those in the area have been thanked for their patience during the restrictions and especially for their efforts to conserve water.
Cllr Maurice Shortall’s told KCLR News; “It’s great news for people particularly people getting kids ready for school and those of us in home help who have struggled badly with the conditions over the lay number of weeks trying to get people bathed was difficult in those conditions”.
