‘Notice to Quit’ served to Callan’s Droichead Family Resource Centre childcare facility

The future of a local community childcare centre has been thrown into uncertainty.

A letter has been sent to the parents of children who use Callan’s Droichead Family Resource Centre informing them that they’ve been served with a ‘Notice to Quit’ their childcare facility by the landlord.

They’ve been told they have to be out by this Friday, the 16th of June.

Parents have contacted KCLR this lunchtime to express their concern over the developments and in particular the short notice.

However, the letter from the resource centre says they will do everything in their power to contest the decision.

A spokesperson for Callan Community Network who own the building says there is no comment at the moment for legal reasons.
