A number of areas in Carlow and Kilkenny competing to be National Enterprising town

The search is on to find Ireland’s National Enterprising town for 2017.

A number of areas in Carlow and Kilkenny are competing for the total prize fund of 110 thousand euro.

Bank of Ireland’s national competition to find the country’s most enterprising town is now underway.

78 entries from 31 local and city authorities are vying to be crowned the winner for 2017.

In county Carlow, Bagenalstown, Ballon, Tullow and Carlow town are competing in Various categories.

While in Kilkenny, Graiguenamanagh, Thomastown, Piltown and Castlecomer are all taking part.

A total prize fund of €110,000 is up for grabs, with over 30 cash prizes being awarded to the various winners.

The judging panel will visit each of the local areas from late august to mid-October, with the winners being announced at an awards ceremony in November.
