A number of homes in the Laurels housing estate in Carlow Town are set to be redeveloped

A number of homes in the Laurels housing estate in Carlow Town are set to be redeveloped.

Funding of €428,000 has been announced by the Government for local authority housing.

Five homes in the estate are to be refurbished after being destroyed by fires.

Once completed, the homes will be used for council housing stock.
