Local Gardaí say the first few days of a checkpoint operation have been hugely successful.
Since last Thursday ‘Operation Interdiction’ has been ongoing across Carlow and Kilkenny with a number of cars seized and arrests made.
It was launched in response to an increase in burglaries for June and July of this year – the first increase in the past five years.
