Kilkenny County Council paid out over €3 for public liability claims in 2023
44 claims were lodged against the Council for slips, trips and falls with 14 of those settled for almost €1m
The amount paid out was almost twice as much as the year before, as there were 37% more settled public liability claims than in 2022.
There were no reported claims against Carlow County Council in 2023
