You’ve heard of Park ‘n’ Ride, well now a Park ‘n’ Stride initiative is being launched for school-goers in Kilkenny.
Parents of children who go to any of the 4 primary and 4 secondary schools in the area of the Waterford / Bohernatounish Roads are being invited to sign up for the free scheme.

It’s been organised by Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership and the County Council and will allow parents who’ve signed up to park in any of the car parks there and walk their children to school safely.
Séamus Nugent, Active Travel Officer with the Sports Partnership says traffic is chaotic along that road in the mornings and this will hopefully go a long way to curbing that.
Speaking to KCLR News, Séamus is encouraging parents to sign up now.
