Pat Deering says he’s satisfied with what the Taoiseach had to say last night

Carlow Fine Gael Deputy Pat Deering says he expects the party will have a new leader in place by the end of April.

The vice-chairman of the parliamentary party who suggested last week that the Taoiseach could be facing a motion of no confidence vote, says he is satisfied now with what Enda Kenny said last night.

The Taoiseach is expected to make his visit to the White House in March one of his last official duties after signaling to party members that he would make an announcement  after St Patricks Day.

Deputy Deering says even though he didnt give a specific date, he takes him at his word.
