Councillor Patrick McKee has called on Kilkenny County Council to look into the possibility of getting motor-home friendly parking spaces in the city.
The Renua representative made the call at this months meetings of the county council, where he pointed out that this idea has worked in Portugal, Italy and Germany.
He’s suggested that this move could tie in with Ireland’s Ancient East initiative in Kilkenny.
Speaking to KCLR, Councillor McKee says it will “open up” more tourist opportunities.
