Pay rise for Carlow and Kilkenny early years educators welcome but more needs to be done according to local childcare manager

A local childcare manager has said that while he welcomes the call for workers to be given a 10% pay increase, businesses will need greater government supports.

The recommendation for the pay increase comes from the sector’s joint labour committee, which has proposed an increase from €13.65 per hour to €15.
