People are living in fear of their lives at Friarstown in Carlow

“People are living in fear of their lives” at Friarstown in Carlow, according to a local councillor.

John Pender says there have been numerous crashes there over the years that have caused a huge amount of damage to local property.

He says while the problem seems to be mostly to do with speed, there have also been issues with the road surface.

Speaking to KCLR News, Councillor Pender says the council has tried to carry out improvement works there before and it just hasn’t made a difference.
