Phase one of a €8million regional innovation and enterprise hub was launched last night in Carlow.

The initiative is projected to create 175 direct jobs and 175 in-direct jobs over its first 15 years.
Plan is to construct two modern buildings on O’Brien Road in Carlow Town – a 915 square-metre single-storey light industrial building with ancillary office space and a 1,369 square-metre, two-storey office building. Construction is scheduled to commence in Q2 of 2026, with projected completion set for 2028.
The first phase was launched by Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke, in Enterprise House on O’Brien Road on Thursday with a further €50,000 revealed for Kilkenny County Council under the same campaign this morning.
