A protest is due to take place in Carlow town later.
It’s in opposition to the reported closure by the 1st of January of the former Tougher’s Restaurant which has been used to accommodate about 150 men, women and children from Ukraine.
It’s understood they were notified just last week and, though there are moves to accommodate them elsewhere, it may mean a move away from the area they’ve made their home.
Those opposed to the move are set to gather from 11 o’clock this morning in Carlow town to highlight the plight.
Stay tuned to hear from those impacted on The KCLR Daily (10am-1pm).
KCLR has contacted the Department twice for comment since last Thursday.
