Railway tracks are for trains and not children – a message from local Gardaí

Railway tracks are for trains, not children.

That’s the message going out from Gardaí in Thomastown after an increasing number of incidents of youngsters both playing on the tracks and climbing the bridge there.

Gardaí have told KCLR they recently had to remove six young children from the bridge, who could easily have fallen to their deaths if there had been a train coming.

A text alert has now also been sent out warning parents not to let children near train tracks without strict supervision.
