Re-opening of Leighlinbridge Garda Station making progress
The rural station was closed 5 years ago
The Minister for Justice says progress is being made on the re-opening of Leighlinbridge Garda Station.
The local station was shut down five years ago, along with a number of others.
However, it was announced last year that Leighlinbridge and five other stations around the country would be reopened as part of a pilot scheme.
Minister Charlie Flanagan says arrangements are now being made for a technical inspection of the station and other necessary steps.
