A local councillor says measures are needed now to slow down traffic going through Owning village in South Kilkenny.
Renewed concerns were expressed at a meeting of the Piltown Municipal District where an engineer proposed that a traffic survey be undertaken to establish the facts.
Kilmoganny has been waiting approximately 18 months for a speed survey to be completed there.
Cllr Pat Dunphy suggested that speed ramps or an electronic speed sign should be installed in the village rather than waiting for a speed survey to be completed.
