Their Collection Day takes place today with 3000 volunteers in 200 towns hoping to raise 500 thousand euro.
The money will go towards Irish athletes abroad and the games in Limerick in June.
Special Olympics Ambassador and Leinster Rugby Player Sean O’Brien says funding for the games is vital.
