The search continues for a car seen at a number of burglary sites in Kilkenny yesterday with the possibility another vehicle could have been involved.
The black 2010 VW Golf, with a Meath registration and two or three men on board, was spotted in the Ballyhendricken, Ballycallan area at around 10am from where a quantity of jewellery’s missing from a home, and again later at Baunmore in Johnstown where a property had been searched but it appears nothing was taken in this incident.
The same vehicle was sighted at about 5 o’clock last evening in Shinrone, Co Offaly where a similar burglary took place.
Gardaí investigating the incidents would like to speak to its occupants to rule them out of their enquiries.
While the plates could be fake, Garda Andy Neill says his team’s still eager to hear of sightings of it and maybe others telling KCLR News; “We would now request anyone who noted suspicious activity to contact us, especially with relation to suspicious vehicles including a black 2010 VW Golf or indeed any other vehicles and possibly a van, a small van, acting suspiciously yesterday – please contact Gardaí in Kilkenny on 056 777 5000”.
