Further searches are expected to take place along the River Suir in Waterford city today in a bid to trace a young woman missing from South Kilkenny.
24 year old Lizzie O Brien from Mooncoin but living in Waterford was last seen between the Bus Station and Rice Bridge in Waterford city on Saturday night/Sunday morning.
She is described as approximately 5 foot in height with long black straight hair – when last seen she was wearing jeans, a black top and black jacket and may also have been wearing glasses. She has piercings in her ears, nose and lips.
Rescue 117 and the Coast Guard from Dunmore East assisted Waterford River Rescue and the Gardai with a search along the river last night.
It’s expected further searches will happen today but in the meantime locals are being asked to report any possible sightings of Lizzie to the Gardai in Waterford 051 305300
