Second day of Kilkenny Arts Festival gets under way with entertaining events across the city

The second day of the 41st Kilkenny Arts Festival gets under way today with highlights including the hosting of Ireland’s first exhibition of the New York-based abstract painter Marilyn Lerner in the Butler Gallery.

Funky Fidelma will be in the city with an interactive street show filled with clowning, circus skills and amazing acrobatics.

For those budding writers, Irish Times writer Sinéad Gleeson will be in conversation with award winning authors Niamh Boyce and Colin Barrett on how to write a book.

Outside of the festival, there are also fun events in Carlow over the weekend with a firewalk at Ducketts Grove and the Carlow Vintage and Classic annual motor show.
