South East University is a priority for Government in 2019

The Taoiseach has said establishing a technological university in the South East is a Government priority for 2019.

It’s hoped once the Tech University eventually happens – when IT Carlow and Waterford IT merge – it will hugely increase employment and other opportunities in the region.

He made the pledge in an end of year briefing to journalists on development in Education for the New Year.
