Keith Boyle’s been named the new Executive Chef for a south Kilkenny restaurant.
Mountain View in Ballyhale is a multi-award winning family-run business which also hosts a weekly market as well as a luxury glamping village.
It’s won many awards, including this year at the SaveMyDay.ie ceremony.
Their latest hire Keith too is not unused to winning awards having previously been crowned best chef in Leinster and Munster at the Irish Restaurant Awards.
Most recently he fronted Keith Boyle at The Bridge House in Kilkenny city, before that Restaurant Lady Anne in Castlecomer and The Bay Tree Bistro in Waterford.
His new role at Mountain View sees him take the reins of culinary lead for weddings and events there including hosting a much-anticipated series of pop up dining events across the year with the first announced as ‘Dinner with the MasterChefs’ on Saturday May 4th as part of the inaugural Foodie Fest.

He’ll also develop the estate’s kitchen garden, will oversee a zero waste street food truck named ‘LOADED’ as part of their weekly Sunday Market and will be launching a new menu later in the year for The Greenhouse Restaurant.
Keith says; “I am delighted to join Bee, Michael and all the team at Mountain View as their new executive chef. After our initial meeting it was great to meet owners who have great pride, passion and a vision for their business. As we move into the wedding and market season at Mountain View I am very excited to work on new concepts with the team, new ideas and flavours for the food truck and exciting new dishes for the market kitchen in the summer. The newly erected polytunnel just outside the kitchen door is also something I have always had a passion for. Growing our own produce for our food outlets will bring exciting new flavours with zero food miles.”
Mountain View co-owner and co-founder Bee O’Grady says “At Mountain View, we are a family. Originally my parent’s farm, it is wonderful to see how we have transformed our 120 acres of rural beauty into one of Ireland’s most unique wedding and events venues, a boutique luxury glamping village, The Greenhouse restaurant with its spectacular panoramic views, the South East’s largest weekly farmers market and now our first festival Foodie Fest which is announced for May bank holiday weekend.”
