Spike in number of people on trolleys in St Luke’s Hospital today
St Luke’s has jumped to the second most overcrowded hospital in the country today.
According to today’s figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation there are 46 patients waiting on trolleys in the local Emergency Department.
Limerick Hospital is the only hospital that’s more overcrowded today with 55 patients who haven’t got a bed there.
KCLR News is awaiting a response from the Ireland East Hospital Group about why there’s today’s spike in the numbers locally.
