St Luke’s Hospital for Carlow/Kilkenny has the most overcrowded Emergency Department in the entire country today.
The latest Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Report shows that there are 46 people waiting on trolleys in the local A and E.
South Tipperary General Hospital has the next highest figure at 39 on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.
The overall figure nationally is 430.
KCLR has contacted the HSE for a response to the spike in patients looking for a bed today.
