The chairperson of a group opposed to Waterways Irelands plans to develop the Barrow path says it’s likely they will take their objections all the way to An Bord Pleanála.
There was standing room only as ‘Save the Barrow Line’ held a public meeting in Abbey Hall in Graiguenamanagh last night to discuss the recent planning application for a 115 kilometre multi -use shared leisure route along the river from St Mullins to Lowtown in Co Kildare.
Last week a Waterways Ireland spokesman told KCLR they expect that permission for the project will be granted.
Chairperson of ‘Save the Barrow Line’ Olivia O Leary told KCLR last night that if the project does get planning permission then they will have to decide then whether or not to appeal to An Bord Pleanála but said they ‘probably will’.
