Steps are being taken to tackle speeding problems in Owning.
A group from the South Kilkenny village presented their case to local councillors at last month’s district meeting and now at this month’s gathering it was decided that something would be done.

The village is on a regional road and Councillor Pat Dunphy says surveys were carried out to see what the situation was.
And speaking to KCLR News, Councillor Dunphy says the engineer has agreed to put in flashing signs to tell people what speed they’re doing.
