The manager of a cancer support centre in Kilkenny says there still isn’t enough funding for the work they do.
It comes as a new report out today warns that cancer cases look set to double by 2045 if current rates continue.
Dee Hennessy says the figures are concerning but she says it should be pointed out that survival rates are also improving.
However she says services like theirs in Cois Nore don’t get enough state support.
