Sun cream at the ready, there’s a mini-heatwave on the way

The summer looks like it’s finally here as temperatures are expected to soar into the high 20’s next week.

Met Eireann is forecasting a ‘mini-heatwave’ with high pressure to the east keeping the rain at bay.

Temperatures may even reach 28 degrees in some areas across Carlow and Kilkenny.

However, Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather dot com says it may not be as good as it sounds with the odd thunder storm expected too.
