TD offer hopes some Morrisseys jobs can still be saved

Government TD Pat Deering says there’s still hope for some of the jobs at Dan Morrissey’s in Carlow.

Staff were given their P45s at the Benekerry offices this week.

The company was put into receivership last wee for the second time after an examiner’s plan to save the business was rejected.

Fine Gael Deputy Pat Deering says there’s still room for a company to be put in place to take over the work and save at least some of the 160 jobs lost.
