Technological University should be primarily in Waterford according to Sinn Féin TD

A new discussion paper is proposing the Technological University for the South East goes ahead BUT suggests it should be primarily based in Waterford.

Sinn Fein TD for Waterford David Cullinane has published the document outlining plans for the proposed venture which would see IT Carlow and Waterford IT team up.

However Deputy Cullinane who proposes the new institution should be a multi-campus model says it should be primarily located in Waterford as he says it is arguably the capital destination of the South East.

David Cullinane launched the document on Friday in WIT and says he will beholding meetings with the Presidents and Executive bodies of both institutes about it.
